Pilates is an exercise style that uses a series of slow, low impact exercises to help improve core stability, flexibility and body awareness. The main focus is developing ‘core’ strength by recruiting our body’s main stabilising and postural muscles. These muscles engage together to form a ‘natural corset’ to support the spine. Developing core stability will help with the rehabilitation of neck, back and many other injuries and can help prevent re-occurrence or further injury.
As all our Pilates instructors are registered Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists, you may be eligible to receive a rebate from your private health fund. To ensure the class is suited to you, we advise arranging an initial assessment appointment with one of our Pilates trained Physiotherapists.
Classes are held at Caboolture Physical Therapy Centre, in a purpose built exercise studio.
